Aiden James David, 19, was tragically taken Thursday, May 1, 2025. Aiden was born in Columbus to James David and Gretchen Specht.

He is preceded in death by grandmother, Marie Specht; and grandfather, James Richard David Sr..

He is survived by his parents, Gretchen Specht and James David, with his fiancée Mollie Bills; sisters, Margaret and Addy Specht; stepsister, Olivia; and stepbrother.

Aiden graduated from Pickerington North in 2024 and attended Ohio State University, studying physical therapy. He was dedicated to fitness and competed in national weightlifting competitions, earning awards across the country. Aiden's heart belonged to his family and close friends. He was a doting big brother. His sisters, his parents, and his dog, Ace, were his world. He was a loyal, trustworthy friend to all. Aiden would drop everything to help someone in need. He had a witty sense of humor and could truly light up a room.

Friends may honor Aiden's life from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Dwayne Spence, 650 West Waterloo Street, Canal Winchester. A celebration of life will be at 7 p.m. following the calling hours.

My sister was in chorale with Aiden and I remember him being very talented. There was a natural kind of light and charisma that came off of him, and I remember he was very well loved in that group.
