Al R. Darr, 80, of Green Springs, passed away Friday, November 28, 2025, surrounded by family at Stein Hospice in Sandusky. He was born May 17, 1945, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, to Charles and Helen (Glover) Darr. Al was a graduate of Huron High School and later served in the National Guard.

Al married Barb Gent, November 30, 1996, and she survives. He worked for Ford Motor Company in Sandusky for 32 years, retiring in 1998. Al was a member of Journey Church, where he found fellowship and community. He enjoyed tending his garden, woodworking, tinkering in his workshop, and cherished his classic 1965 Mustang, but above all, he loved spending time with his family.

Al is survived by his wife of 28 years, Barb Darr, Green Springs; children, David (Heather) Darr, Port Clinton, Brian (Jen) Darr, Florence, South Carolina, Melinda (Jay) Brenneise, Seymour, Tennessee, Amber (Brian) Feeney, Green Springs, and Clint (Angela) Hackenburg, Oakland, California; grandchildren, Izaak, Brady, Haylee, McKenna, Lilly, Gracie, Ruby, Brody, Ally, Ethan, Riley, Elizabeth, Jacob, Jack, Abe, and KK; great-grandson, Jack; and sister, Bette Gadd, Milan.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Char.

Al's memorial service will be at a later date.
