Alice Stiert, 83, residing in Palmetto, Florida, passed away Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023.

Alice was born Aug. 24, 1940, in Norwalk, to Walter and Lucille Bick.

In the late 1950s and early 1960s, she was employed several places in Ohio doing office work. In the 1970s, Alice owned and worked at Copley Insurance + Howells Real Estate in Milan with her husband. In the late 1980s, Alice moved to Palmetto, Florida, and worked as an office manager for Claudia's Mobile Home Place until 2003, when she retired. She also worked part-time as a bartender at Palmetto Moose Lodge, then full-time after retiring from Claudia's. She retired from Moose Lodge in 2014.

Since 1998, she lived in Colonial Manor, a mobile home park in Palmetto, Florida. In 2021, she was a 17-year breast cancer survivor. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading paper back books, needlepoint, and shot pool in various leagues.

Alice is survived by her son, Charles "Chuck" McMillen of Liberty Lakes, Washington; granddaughter, Danae; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Stiert; and sisters and their husbands, Rita Bick, Rose (Gerald) Druiback, Dorothy (Charles) Fries, and Agnes (James) Ringholz.

Alice's graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023, with Father Valerian Larawa presiding. Alice will be laid to rest next to her husband, Joe Stiert, at Milan Cemetery.
