Alvin L. Banks, 90, of Ft. Ogden, Florida, and Sandusky, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Dec., 7, 2022, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, with his family by his side.
He was born Aug. 17, 1932, in Dayton, and worked for GM for 25 years and Asplundh Tree Service. Alvin attended Sandhill Freewill Baptist Church, Sandusky.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruth (Jordan) Banks; daughters, Kimberly Ann Banks of Sandusky and Vicki Lynn Banks of Ft. Ogden, Florida; son, Mitchell Samuel Banks of Kentucky; grandson, Jason Ian Nemitz; several nieces and nephews; and dog and companion, Zoey.
Alvin was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Mary Lou Munk; a sister; and six brothers.
Friends may call 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022, until the time of Alvin's services at 10:30 a.m. at Sandhill Freewill Baptist Church, 7703 Mason Rd., Sandusky. Pastor Garry Sorrell will officiate. Burial will be at Sandhill Cemetery. Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, Castalia, is in charge of arrangements.
