Anthony Reyna Obituary

Anthony "Tony" Reyna

Jun 16, 1951 - Oct 6, 2022

Radcliff, Kentucky

Anthony (Tony) Reyna 71, of Radcliff, Kentucky, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022.

Tony was born in 1951 in Sandusky, to Juan and Petra Reyna. He graduated from Sandusky High School in 1971. As a member of the Boy Scouts, Tony achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He worked for Roesch Office Supply and Uniroyal before enlisting in the military.

A retired Sergeant First Class of U.S. Army, Tony devoted 21 faithful years of service to our country. Tony was a lifelong follower of Christ and the Catholic Church. It was in service of the Lord where he found his greatest purpose. He attended St. Christopher Catholic Church where he performed a myriad of duties.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Carlene Reyna; two daughters, Tara (Aaron) Reyna and Renee (Ryan) Reyna; two grandchildren, Eli and Emmie; sisters, Dolores Schnell, Elena (Mark) Brown, Carmen Reyna, and Theresa (Curt) Jenkins, all of Sandusky, Mary Lou Poore of Clyde, and Marcy McGirt of Clarks Hill, Indiana; brother, Juan Reyna of Chicago, Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert; and brothers-in-law, Walter Barger, Robert Schnell, and Robert Poore.

Tony will be remembered as a quiet and giving family man. Although soft-spoken, Tony was always willing to lend an ear, a prayer, his time, or the shirt off his back. He embodied the charitable spirit of Christ.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 2022, at Chism Family Funeral Home in Vine Grove, Kentucky. Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, at St. Christopher Parish, Radcliff, Kentucky, with the Rev. Jeff Hopper officiating. A graveside service with military honors will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2022, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky.
