Antywon D. "Boog" Grant, 46, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 9, 2025, at his home in Hawthorne, Nevada.

He was born in Sandusky on February 23, 1978, to Marylon Grant-Davis and the late Tommy Brown. As a youth, Antywon played baseball and football and found a passion for wrestling at Sandusky High School, from which he graduated in 1996. Antywon was a decorated Airman, joining the US Air Force after graduating high school.

Antywon served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and was also responsible for providing security to former President George W. Bush during 9/11. While on a tour to South Korea, Antywon joined Prince Hall Free Masonry in 2004. Here he learned and appreciated true brotherhood. In his spare time, Boog enjoyed fishing, cooking, music, and good times with friends and family.

He is survived by his daughter, Adrianna D. Grant, and Antywon D. Grant II, of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter, Brooke A. Parker, and grandson, Zoen Parker, of Sandusky; loving mother, Marylon, of Sandusky; brother, Andre White Jr., of Louisville, KY; and sisters, LaVonda Brown and Kalesha Grant, of Sandusky; stepfather, Dony Davis; step-sisters, Aquarius Fenderson and Shantara Lemon; stepbrother, Deonta Davis; mentor and cousin, Deandre Nickelson; and a host of family, friends, and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Brown; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and a host of family and close friends.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral services begin at 12 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2025, at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 1920 Eddy Henry Way, Sandusky. Private burial will take place at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
