Barbara Marie "Barb" Brown, 81, passed away Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024, at Edgewood Manor in Port Clinton.
She was born July 19, 1943, in Monroe, Michigan.
Barb is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Paul Brown; two children, Shelia Emery (Gene) and Paul Brown (Jill); three stepchildren, Denise Brownell (David), Kristine Welser, and Kevin Brown (Tammy); nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Brenda Schneider (Dave).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo Tolbert and Margaret McBee; siblings, Carol Deaton, Larry Tolbert, and James McBee; and grandchild, Jacob Brown.
Barb worked for Barr Rubber in the 1970s and spent decades in the grocery industry at Pick-N-Pay and Food Town in Sandusky. She enjoyed her family, pets, board games, reading, and television shows.
Barb's service will be private for family. Entombment will be at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Island Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary, Inc, 1805 W. Lake Shore Drive, Port Clinton, Ohio, 43452.
Arrangements have been entrusted to David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
A special thank you to the social workers and caregivers at Edgewood Manor for making her final days comfortable and supporting the family.
Barb will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
