"Our Mimi" Barbara Elizabeth King Kenning, 84, of Huron, went home to be Jesus on the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023.

Barbara was born Feb. 17, 1939, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Walter and Elizabeth King. After Barbara graduated from Mr Lebanon High School in 1956, she went on to study at Carnegie Melon University, graduating with a degree in Liberal Arts. She was very successful in her career, helping to start Lakeway Manufacturing and then worked at Vernon company as Director of Sales.

Barbara's two children, Laurie and John, brought her much joy. With her family, she enjoyed traveling. She found great pleasure in reading, playing golf, boating, snow skiing, fishing, playing cards, and visiting her children's families.

Barbara is survived by her best friend and daughter, Laurie Kenning Echols; son-in-law, Scott Echols; son, John Kenning, and his wife, Kerri; brother, Scott King; six grandchildren and spouses, Emily and Brett Howard of Tallahassee, Florida, Mollie and Matt Stull of Tampa, Florida, Drew and Meg Kenning, Charlie and Erin Kenning, and Mackenzie and Kent Larson, all of Chicago, Illinois, and Patrick and Jesse Kenning of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and eight great-grandchildren she was blessed with, Bennet, Rhodes, Marley, Mason, Max, Teddy, Monroe, and Harper, and one more on the way.

Thank you Mimi for teaching all of us LIFE and how to make the best out of every situation. We love you!
