Barbara Jane Watters, 88, of Oak Harbor, passed away peacefully at 5:44 p.m. Monday, May 29, 2023, at Edgewood Manor Nursing Home, Port Clinton, with her family beside her.

Barbara was born July 2, 1934, in Lewiston, Maine, to Charles Hutchins and Beatrice Prout. Barbara was the youngest of five children. She had seven children with her loving husband, Ronald. She enjoyed crocheting, canning fresh foods for her family, cooking, and taking care of her family. She was very welcoming to all, a very kind person and she loved spending time and playing with her 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Most importantly, through her study of the Bible, she came to have a deep love for her heavenly Father, Jehovah God. Barbara dedicated her life to Jehovah God on July 1, 1957, and was baptized over 65 years. She with her family spent many years sharing bible truths and studying the Bible with others. She had a strong faith in God's promises for the future including the Earth being restored back to a paradise and a resurrection of the dead.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Brenda S. Holcomb (Don) of Oak Harbor, Terri l Wallace (Bernie) of Sandusky, and Julie a Ladd (Mark) of Loudonville; sons, Steven A Watters (Sherry) and Rolland P Watters, both of New London; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; one sister; loving husband of 54 years. Rolland P Watters; and two sons, Robert Scott Watters and Stuart P Watters.

The family thanks the aides and nurses at Edgewood Manor Nursing Home, Port Clinton, for taking good care and kindness towards our dear mother. We also want to thank Stein Hospice for their care and support. We greatly appreciate it.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Oak Harbor.

A celebration of Barbara's life will be on Zoom at a later date.
