Barry Martin Sparks, 71, of Bellevue, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023, at Bucyrus Hospital.
Barry was born Oct. 28, 1951, in Portsmouth, to Garland M. and Nettie M. (Davis) Sparks, who preceded him in death. He married Judy (Slark) on Aug. 25, 1989, and she survives in Bellevue.
Barry graduated from Clay High School in 1969. Barry worked for Norfolk and Southern Railroad as a conductor until his retirement. Barry liked fishing, arrowhead hunting, and golfing. He was a member of Eagles Arie #490 of Bellevue.
Barry is also survived by his son, Jason Sparks of Upper Arlington; stepchildren, Bryan Slark of Charleston, South Carolina, Tom Slark of Nashville, Tennessee, Michelle (Keith) Lohr of Groveport, and Carlos Slark of Nashville Tennessee; five grandchildren, Brianna, Corey, Isaac, Alyssa, and Aly; and siblings, Brian Sparks of Rosemount and Vicky Markos of Columbus.
Barry's memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023, at EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 4171 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus. The Rev. P.K. Fowler will officiate. www.evansfuneralhome.net.
