Carl "Mike" Behlke, 71, of Danbury Township passed away Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024, at his home.

He was born June 27, 1952, in Cleveland, the son of Carl Wilmont and Florence (Schmer) Behlke. Mike married JoAnn Berr on Nov. 1, 1975. Mike was a long-time charter boat captain working for Drawbridge Marina and Tibbels Marina and Charter Service as well as an ice guide in his early years in Marblehead. He then owned and managed their family business, Behlke Trailer Park and Marina. Mike also owned Mike's Excavating for a number of years then full-time operated Behlke Properties and Storage. Mike enjoyed perch fishing, working outside around his property, always enjoyed helping others, and most of all, spending time with his family.

Mike is survived by his wife, JoAnn; son, Todd Behlke of Huffman, Texas; daughter, Jodi Leigh Wheeler of Marblehead; grandchildren, Eric Wheeler and Makenzie Jo Wheeler; and sister, Carole Behlke of Santa Rosa, California.

Mike's celebration of life will be 12-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd., Lakeside-Marblehead.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the donor's choice.
