Carl F. "Butch" Martin, 76, of Attica, passed away at 11:19 a.m. Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Mercy Health â€" Tiffin Hospital.

Carl was born Dec. 3, 1946, in Willard, to the late Glenn F. and Helen (Vogel) Martin. He married Beverly A. (Hunker) on Oct. 18, 1969, in Bascom.

Carl's survivors include his wife, Beverly Martin of Attica; three sons, Scott (Karen) Martin and Matt (Dawn) Martin, both of Attica, and Kurt (Mary) Martin of New Washington; seven grandchildren, Phillip, Nolan, Christopher, Ella, and Landon, and Makayla and Marissa Martin; brother, Don (Jan) Martin of Republic; and two sisters, Ruth Owen and Mary (Gary) Solomon, both of Tiffin.

Carl worked as a Millwright for General Motors and also helped with farming. He was a member of Attica United Methodist Church, was involved with U.S. Army National Guard in his younger years, and was a 1964 graduate of Attica High School.

Carl's funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, Bloomville, with Pastor Ed Hunker officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will follow services Tuesday at Attica Venice Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Attica or Tiffin Junior Fair Foundation or charity of the donor's choice.
