Carol E. Beerbower

Aug 7, 1929 - Jul 28, 2024

Bryan

Carol E. Beerbower, 94, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, July 28, 2024. She lived in various places in Ohio during her life with Bryan being her final home.

Carol was born Carol Eleanor Luse on Aug. 7, 1929, to William and Selma (Cunningham) Luse. She grew up in Painesville along with her sister and two brothers. After graduating from Harvey High School, she attended Mt. Sinai School of Nursing in Cleveland. She graduated with a registered nursing degree. She married Loring Beerbower on July 10, 1954. They were married for 61 years and he preceded her in death Feb. 8, 2016. Carol worked at Fairfield Community Hospital in Lancaster and prior to that, she worked at Good Samaritan Hospital in Sandusky and at various hospitals in Cleveland.

Carol had three children, Stephen (Stephanie) of Hicksville, David (Melissa) of Bryan, and Sharon of Bryan. She had six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She loved being a mom and grandma. Carol was a very talented seamstress. She could sew anything, but especially loved making fancy dresses for her granddaughters and dressing antique dolls. She also enjoyed her flower garden, reading, working on genealogy, writing poetry, and being with her family. She was always active in any church they attended wherever they made their home in Ohio. She took charge of the nursery, was on the mission committee, and helped in Sunday school. Most recently, she was a member of Bryan First Church of Christ.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, until the time of Carol's funeral at 12 p.m. at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville. Pastor Larry Snavely will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville.
