Carol J. Hoffman, 86, of Bellevue passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022, at The Willows at Bellevue. She was born April 23, 1936, in Bellevue, the daughter of Alvin and Hazel (Hill) Orwig.

Carol was a 1954 graduate of York High School and was once employed by Spiralcool Corporation in Bellevue. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Bellevue. She married James L. Hoffman on July 31, 1954, and he preceded her in death Dec. 25, 1975.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda (George) Shepherd of Shiloh and Amy (Freddy) Isaac of Castalia; son, Dale (Cheryl) Hoffman of Bellevue; grandchildren, Bradley Hoffman of Columbus and Sabrina (Brian) Allen of Shelby; stepgrandchildren, Chad Koselke and Cody Koselke; great-grandchildren, Cameron Hoffman and Meilah Allen; and three brothers, Nelson (Glenna) Orwig of Lawrence, Kansas, Roger Orwig of Bellevue, and Wesley (Virginia) Orwig of El Paso, Texas.

In addition to her parents and husband, Carol was preceded in death by her sons-in-law.

Friends will be received 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2022, until the time of Carol's funeral at 10 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 209 Southwest Street, Bellevue. Burial will follow at Bellevue City Cemetery.
