Carol J. Recker, 77, of Lima, died early Friday morning, May 31, 2024, at Providence Care Center, Sandusky.
Carol was born Dec. 18, 1946, at the family farm just outside of Gomer, the daughter of Velma T. (Hunt) and Raymond Williams. She graduated from Gomer High School.
She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Lima. Carol worked for the former Harts Department Store and then at Kewpee on Allentown Rd.
Carol was very creative and artistic. She enjoyed baking, sewing, and painting ceramics. She loved Christmas and collecting Santas.
She is survived by her son, Jim (Lisa) Recker of Port Clinton; granddaughter, Madeline Recker; and grandson, Michael Recker.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; son, John Anthony Recker; sister, Marilyn (Albert) Robey; brothers, Paul (Lena) Davis, Fred (Shirley) Davis, Bill (Donna) Williams, Roger Williams, and John Williams; stepfather, Robert Tudor; stepsister, Jane Firestone; and stepbrother, Owen Tudor.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2024, until the time of Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church, 523 N. West Street, Lima. Fr. David Ross will celebrate. Burial will follow at Pike Run Cemetery, Gomer.
Memorial contributions to honor Carol should be made to St. Rose Catholic Church, 523 N. West Street, Lima, Ohio, 45801, or Lima Central Catholic High School, 720 S. Cable Road, Lima, Ohio, 45805.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Auxter Funeral Home, Bellevue, www.auxterfuneralhomes.com.

Jim and family,
So sorry to hear about your mom. I have known her a long time since having you and John in class at St. Rose. She was always so funny with her comments. She always wanted to make sure you boys did your best and behaved! You, obviously, did that! Always looked forward to talking to her at school and at the Kewpee. She will be missed!
