Carolyn J. Osburn, 81, of Monroeville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 24, 1941, in Cumberland, Kentucky, to the late John and Minnie (Gregory) Burkhart.
Carolyn worked as a toll collector for the Ohio Turnpike.
She loved gardening, cooking, and being around her family with all the grandchildren. She was a caring person to everyone.
She is survived by her children, Ray Osburn of Monroeville, Michael (Amanda) Osburn of Sandusky, and Sandra Elliott of Florida; grandchildren, Melanie (Mike) Shea, Anna (Kevin) Taylor, Anthony Simon, Ray A. (Kasey) Osburn Jr., Molly Cordle, Patty Sue Cathran, and Isaac Osburn; great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Gabriel, Olivia, Justice, Urijah, Elias, Meghan, Lilly, and Eliana; sisters, Patricia Cesa, Rachel Harmon, and Mary Sorrell; brother, Danny Burkhart; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Estel Ray Osburn, in 2019; son, John, in 1995; sisters, Sandra, Faye, and Edith; and brother, Charles.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023, until the time of Carolyn's memorial service at 6 p.m. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Tony Robinson will officiate.
