Charles W. Johnson, 83, of Sandusky, passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 11, 1940, in Bucyrus, to Ralph and Myrtle Johnson.
He was an U.S. Army veteran.
Charles loved fishing, old Westerns with John Wayne, old country music with Hank Williams, and watching Scooby Doo.
He is survived by his grandson, Paul (Amanda) Capone; granddaughter, Teresa (fiance' James) Sutter; great-grandchildren, Zanari, Karson, Elaina, Tiana, Morgan, Nickolas, Trevor, Taylor, Brianna, and McKenna; great-great-grandchildren, Landon and Emerson; and dog, Brutus.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; parents; granddaughter, Janelle Capone; and great-granddaughter, Sheila.
At his request cremation will take place. No services will take place.
Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is handling arrangements.
