Charles Joseph "Charlie" McMonigal, 68, of Sandusky, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025, at New Life Hospice in Lorain.

He was born February 26, 1957, in Sandusky, to the late Andrew Arthur and Teresa Ann (Hartlieb) McMonigal.

Charlie was a 1976 graduate of Sandusky High School. He went on to obtain his aassociate degree in business management from Ohio Business College. He was most recently employed for ten years, at Park Place Mini Storage. He was an avid Ohio Sports fan. He was a great friend who was always willing to help out. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had a special love for his dogs and was a volunteer and foster for Cherished Cocker in Mentor.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Paulette M. "Polly" (Ordway) McMonigal, whom he married August 15, 1987; his daughter, Meg (Marius) Pride; grandchildren, Deja and Natasha; eight great-grandchildren; his sister, Karen Baatz; brothers, Dennis, Kevin, and Donald (Anna) McMonigal; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Including his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Lawrence (Debra) McMonigal, Patricia Moser, Terry, Steven, and Kristy McMonigal; and his sister-in-law, Barbra "Bobbie" McMonigal.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2025, at Faith Church, 1320 E. Strub Rd., Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Friends may also call from 10 a.m. until time of the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Faith Church, 1320 E. Strub Rd., Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, Sandusky, Ohio 44870, is assisting family with arrangements.
