Sandusky
Charles Norris, 91, of Sandusky, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
He was born Dec. 12, 1931, in Columbus. A machinist by trade, he retired from Ford Motor Company. In 1965, he moved his four children to Sandusky and married Mary (Katie) Herriott. Her five children brought the family to 11. He was a Past Master of Science Lodge #50 F. & A.M., past Monarch of Singara Grotto, and member of Havasu Chapter #61 OES and Eagles Eerie 444, Sandusky.
He is survived by his children, Deb Holley, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Steve (Kelly) Herriott, of Castalia, Karen (Curtis) Great Bend of Kansas, and Paul Herriott of Sandusky; grandchildren, Ida Farr, David (Emily) Bishop, Jeff Bishop, Keith (Liz) Ellis, Ronday Norris, Miranda Norris, Brandy and Chris McCullogh, Paul Jr., Diana, Ashley, Chester, David, Joe, and Scotty Herriott, Sabrina and Alicen Herriott, and Lisa Herriott; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and sisters, Wanda Stopher and Darlene Hambel.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in 2004; sons, Charles David, in 1986, and Richard, in 1993; and daughter, Brenda, in 2020.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2023, at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. The Science Lodge #50 F. & A.M. will hold Masonic Services at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Charles' funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, at the funeral home with the Rev. Jerald Fenske officiating. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.

His daughter raised me and made me who I am. He was the best great grandpa to me and the best GREAT GREAT grandpa to my children! I will forever miss our pizza parties, sleep overs, and trips to red lobster for crab legs and Jack and coke! You were, and are a National treasure.
