Chelissa Anne Conway, 49, of Sandusky, passed away Friday, Feb. 10, 2023, at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 25, 1973, in Sandusky, to Charles and Evelyn Conway.
Chelissa graduated from Sandusky High school in 1991. She was employed as a cosmetologist. She enjoyed fashion of every kind including hair, clothes, and home, and traveling.
She is survived by her sister, Charlayne (Semon) Conway Johnson of Sandusky; brother, Craig Conway of Sandusky; aunt, Dorothy Perry of Michigan; special boyfriend, Charles Jackson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, George and Shirley Conway; maternal grandparents, Curtis Young and Girtha Davis Sumlin; aunts, Verdell Darby, Rebe Conway, and Lillian Conway; uncles, Alton Willie "Son" Coleman, George Conway, and Andrew Conway; and God-brother, Charles LaMar Moore.
It was Chelissa's wish to be cremated.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 2023, at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Chelissa's memorial services will be 12 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023, at Oakland Cemetery.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. My dear cousin Chelissa. Still in disbelief. My dear cousin I was thinking of times when we were young & recall the days we used to play in the park on the swings with your daddy pushing us. Playing in your backyard with your Barbies and your mom was always cooking us something. Your style - I was always shopping in your bedroom bc you had so many clothes & shoes like Macy's & you used to tell me pick out something! You were the 1st to cut my hair & I remembr I asked you to cut my hair like Salt-N-Pepa & you did that & everybody wanted that style back then. You were the most amazing hairstylist, even more a wonderful sweet cousin & you will be so missed. I'm saddened distance separated us for some time & I wish we could've been able to have spent more time together before you left this earth. Family - please stay close & checkup on your loved ones bc we turn around & time has gone & they too are gone! We love you and miss you always.

Conway Family you have our deepest sympathy. Chelissa will be missed here on earth, but heaven is rejoicing. She fought a good fight. Now she is at peace. Praying for comfort.
