Craig Bulea Obituary

Craig T. Bulea

Mar 4, 1948 - Feb 27, 2023

Huron

Loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather, Craig, 74, passed away peacefully Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, surrounded by his family following a courageous, lengthy battle with prostate cancer.

A life-long Buckeye, Craig worked for 30 years at Ford Motor Company and Visteon, retiring as Engineering Manager of the Sandusky plastics plant, followed by a five-year post-retirement stint at Autoplas, and a third five-year career as owner of CTB Consulting. There was no problem Craig couldn't solve, nothing Craig couldn't fix, and no person Craig met that he didn't offer love and support. He played as hard as he worked and was in his element hosting several dozen of his closest friends and family, treating all to a meal, cocktails, and his famous Mick Jagger impression. Craig's grit, toughness, empathy, and generosity will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know and love him.

Craig is survived by his wife of 49 years, Nancy C. Bulea; children, Erin Bulea (Kevin Kunselman) and Craig Bulea (Kerry Lanigan); grandchildren, Marion and Wallace, Thomas Bulea (Emily Edelman), Brendan and Darwin, Donald Bulea (Sara), and Benjamin, Blair, and Mac; sister, Linda Vrbanac (Nick); brother, Rickey Bulea; and 15 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Hilda Bulea.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Harbor House, 132 Main St., Huron, Ohio, 44839, until the time of Craig's celebration of life at 3:30 p.m. with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Craig's name can be made to Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011, American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, Texas, 75284-0692, or Prostate Cancer Foundation, 1250 Fourth St., Santa Monica, California, 90401.

Craig was my cousin. When I was very young I used to visit my Aunt Hilda's house and once in a while stay for a few days. It was a real treat! Craig was always the one in charge of the cousins. As we grew up, he remained always in charge. He had a servants heart. I am sure his reward will be great in heaven and our heavenly Father will put Craig in charge of big things up there for Him too!
Craig's presence was larger than life and he will be greatly missed by all.
