Elmer "Dale" Watson, 90, of Sandusky, passed away Friday, May 30, 2025, at his residence.
He was born June 23, 1934, in Houston, Texas, to the late Ernest Oland and Nora Ella (Pool) Watson.
Dale proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1951-1955. He was a hard worker and was self-employed, owning his own floor covering business from 1965 until he retired in 2015. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, making beautiful birdhouses, and an array of other items. He was very artistic and enjoyed painting and drawing.
He is survived by his loving wife, Renee (Geiger) Watson; his two daughters, Kathy L. Watson and Michelle R. Zapata; grandchildren, Heaven and Victor; his brother, Patrick (Janis) Watson; special nieces, Karen and Becky; and other relatives.
Including his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Tommy Oland Watson, Jewel Richards, and Betty Norman.
At his request, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Inurnment with military honors will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
