Dana Dolores (Zeiher) Cote', 73, of Columbiaville, Michigan, passed away Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022.
Dana was born Aug. 4, 1949, in Sandusky, to Arthur and Betty Zeiher. She attended Sts. Peter & Paul grade school and Perkins High School, graduating in 1967. She graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Speech Pathology and Elementary Education. She met Tom, her husband of 52 years, while attending the university.
Dana was employed by Lapeer and North Branch public schools for 15 years as a speech pathologist and teacher of early elementary children. She spent many more years as the loving mother of their five children and 13 grandchildren.
Dana is survived by her loving husband, Tom Cote'; children Dr. Adam Cote' (Lilian, Maci, Lincoln, Finnian), Bridget (Timothy) Callender (Ellesa, Claire), Martin (Tara) Cote' (Dylan, Ethan), Drs. Forrest and Tolam Cote' (Harper, Hannah, Emmett), and Molly (Peter) Gioulos (Thomas, Caroline Dana); and four siblings, Kevin (Cathy) Zeiher, Peter Zeiher, Steven (Deb) Zeiher, and Amy (Mark) Neubecker.
Everybody knew Dana for her warm and loving personality. With a zest for life, she enjoyed the beauty of nature, outdoor activities, but above all, it was the loving time spent with her family that gave her the most joy.
In keeping with Dana's wishes, arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Lynch and Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer. A celebration of Dana's life will be at a later date.
