Sandusky
David H. Beese, 78, of Sandusky, passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, at his residence.
He was born July 16, 1945, in Sandusky, to Harry and Albertine (Nutski) Beese. He graduated from Sandusky High School in 1963 and served in U.S. Army with the rank of Sergeant from 1963-1968.
Dave worked in construction through the local Laborer's Union Hall.
He was a life-time member of Amvets Post 17 and V.F.W. Post 2529 where he liked to visit and talk to his fellow veterans. In his younger years, he liked to go fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his son, Chad (Rose) Beese; sister, Clara McCullough; brother, Ronald "Red" Beese; grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David D. Beese; sister, Sharon Clark; and brother, Wayne Beese.
Visitation for friends will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024, until the time of David's funeral at 12 p.m. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery with military rites provided by U.S. Army, American Legion Post 83 Honor Guard, and V.F.W. Post 2529 Honor Guard. The family would like to give a special thanks to Angela Steinmetz, a very kind and caring caregiver.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Northern Ohio Chapter Cystic Fibrosis or one's favorite charity.
