Delorise A. "Dee" (Wolfe) Burke, 91, of Wakeman, passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2022, at Norwalk Memorial Home.

She was born Nov. 25, 1930, in Wakeman, and graduated from Wakeman High School.

Dee earned her beauticians license in Akron and owned and operated her own beauty salon in her home.

She enjoyed quilting, golfing, bowling, bargain hunting, and eating dessert, especially ice cream. Dee was a devout catholic and was active at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Wakeman. She also spent many winters in Florida with her husband, Jack. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, planning cooking, and hosting holiday meals for decades. Dee avidly attended her children's and grandchildren's activities and sporting events.

She is survived by her husband, to whom she married July 31, 1954, John "Jack" Burke; children, Diane (Fred) Wolf, Jeanne (Dennis) DeValeria, Shawn (Kathy) Burke, Terry (Mona) Burke, and Shelley (Kevin) Mahl; grandchildren, Brittany (Matt) Ryan, Todd (Polly) Wolf, Tara and Leah Burke, Maddie, Erika, and Lucie Mahl, and Hannah Burke; great-grandchildren, Levi, Polly Anne, Zeb, Violet Wolf, and Dixon Ryan; siblings, Glorine Rabjohn, Bernie (Lila) Wolfe, Mona (Bill) Dauch, and Darrel Wolfe; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Arline (Puder) Wolfe; stepfather, Walter Flew; and brother, Dorn Wolfe.

Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, at Toft Funeral Home, Wakeman Chapel, 16 Cooper St., Wakeman. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 46 E. Main St., Wakeman. The Rev. Ron Brickner will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery, Wakeman.
