Dennis Henry King, 78, residing in Sandusky, passed away Monday, Jan. 16, 2023, at Providence Care Center after a lengthy illness.

Dennis was born December 22, 1944, in Gallipolis to the late Dennis and Katherine (Porter) King.

Dennis retired from General Motors in 2002 after 32 years of dedicated service. He was an ordained minister, most recently preaching at Victory Temple and previously served his community through his Church Christ Christian Center. Dennis was a member of UAW Local 913, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling, and spreading the word of the Lord. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Dennis is survived by his three daughters, Denise (Jim) Esterline of Pioneer, Buffi King, of Sandusky, and Mindi (Mike) Bodi of Port Clinton; a son, Tony (Janie) King of Sandusky; nine grandchildren, Jamie Lynne, Corey, Brooke, Kate, Dakota, Kyleigh, Brycen, Hunter, and Jacob; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Stella Rugg of Oregon; three brothers, John King of Toledo, Phil (Glema) King of Sandusky, and Mike King of Toledo; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Dennis is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sue (Holzer) King, in 2012, and a sister in infancy Emogene.

Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023, at Victory Temple, 1619 W. Strub Rd, Sandusky, OH 44870. Friends may also call 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, at Victory Temple. Pastor Luke Walters will officiate. Burial will follow at Castalia Cemetery, Castalia.
