With tender hearts, we share the news of the passing of our dear Diane L. Hoffman, 89, who passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.

Diane was a lifelong resident of Huron and the daughter of Mario and Angelina (Majoy) Esposito. She graduated from Huron High School and married her husband, George "Bill" Hoffman, in 1957. She was a realtor and retired from Huron City Schools after working as a bus driver and library aide. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.

Diane was the past president of the Old Homestead One Association and a past member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Peter's. She loved reading, playing cards, spending time with family and friends, cooking, baking and was known for her giving heart.

Diane is survived by her sister, Gloria Catri; sister-in-law, Pat Esposito; two daughters, Sandie (Jim) Beal and Amy (Dave) Svoboda; daughter-in-law, Beverly Hoffman. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Andrew (Dayna Torrieri) McBride, Kate Hampton, Stephanie Beal, Jae Beal, Scott (Katie Carmen) Hoffman, Angelina (Ryan) Christopher, Samantha (Zach Bates) Hoffman, Cameron Svoboda, Connor (Lina) Svoboda and Leah (Alex Logsdon) Svoboda; great-grandchildren, Ainsley, Arya, Maddalena, Matteo, Lina Sue, Bella, Mia, Alexa, Camden, Brielle, with an 11th due in March.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Wm Scott Hoffman; and her siblings, Mario Esposito, Anna Costantino, Anthony "Dempsey" Esposito, Dominic Esposito and Edna Temper.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2026, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main Street, Huron, with Father Doug Garand presiding. Inurnment will be private at Meadow Green Memorial Park in Huron.
