Diane Jones Obituary

Diane Jones

Jun 15, 1956 - Aug 18, 2024

Minneapolis, MN

Diane Jones, 68, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away on the serene evening of Sunday, Aug. 18, 2024, at Methodist Hospital.

Her life's journey began June 15, 1956, in the quaint town of Waynesboro, Mississippi, where she was born to Velma and Eloise Evans.

Diane was a woman of immense warmth and boundless strength who dedicated 25 years of her life to Dakota Growers before retiring. In her retirement, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life - cherishing every moment spent with her beloved grandson and relishing visits with dear friends and family in Sandusky. Diane was the embodiment of love and kindness, her spirit radiating a generosity and care that touched the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Her passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those she held dear.

She is survived by her devoted son, Aaron Jones and his wife, Angela of Minnesota; special friend and confidant, Leon Washington of Minnesota; sisters, Betty Bell and Gloria Keys of Ohio; brother, Velma Evans of Minnesota; and cherished friends, Lois Young and Linda Donald of Ohio. In addition to these loved ones, Diane's memory will be forever held by a large extended family and a multitude of friends whose lives she enriched with her presence.

Diane was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Velma and Eloise Evans; and sisters, Inetta Marshall, Delorse Evans, and Rosetta Evans, whose spirits she now joins in peace.

Visitation for friends will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024, until the time of Diane's funeral at 11:30 a.m. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, Ohio, 44870. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.

My sincere condolence to the family. Diane and I grew up together. We use to bake peanut butter cookies. I was blessed to see her when she came home for family fuctions. We would give each other the biggest hungs and we always played catch up. She will be deeply missed.
