Donald L. Buchanan, 85, of Oak Harbor, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, at Edgewood Manor Healthcare Center, Port Clinton.
He was born Feb. 10, 1937, in Coburn, Virginia, the son of the late Grover and Bernice (Odle) Buchanan. He married Evela Blair on April 16, 1960, and she survives. Don worked in the Board Plant for US Gypsum for 41 years, retiring in 1996.
Don is survived by his wife, Evela; sisters, Joyce King and Shirley (Jody) Blevins, both of Coburn, Virginia; and brother, Hershel Buchanan of Coburn, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruth Nester; and brothers, Ralph and Willard Buchanan.
Donald's funeral will be 12 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2023, at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St., Port Clinton, Ohio, 43452. Jimmy Comstock will be officiating. Interment will follow at Catawba Island Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Bay Township Fire and Rescue, 4471 W. Fremont Rd., Port Clinton, Ohio, 43452.
