Donald J. "Don" Flood passed away early Monday morning, Feb. 5, 2024, at Stein Hospice Care Center.
Donald was born May 25, 1950, in Norwalk, to James and Eileen (Brady) Flood.
Don graduated from St. Paul's in Norwalk in 1968 and the Journeyman Carpentry Program in 1972.
Don worked at Davis Besse Power Plant, Cedar Point, and then went on to marine carpentry at Venetian Marina and later Classic Marine. He also worked at Sandusky Foundry and Machine, J.H. Routh Packing, Speedway and retired from Rezenberger. His hobbies included woodworking, camping, and model railroading. He was a social member of VFW Post 2743, Norwalk, and St. Mary's Bandboosters.
Don married Annmarie (Nemere) Flood on May 31, 1975, and is survived by her and their daughter, Lisa Flood, and beagle mix, Bandet.
Private graveside Services will take place and Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory will be assisting family with arrangements.
