I knew Donnie from elementary school, junior high and high school.
We were friends for many years. He had a great sense of humor that I appreciated. So sad to lose him so soon.

In junior high school Don and I became really good friends. Don welcomed me into his home and I got to know all of his wonderful family. I guess you could say I became somewhat of a regular at the homestead.
In ninth grade we hung out at Crall´s Corner Store with other classmates. Crall´s was the hub from which we did everything. Saturday´s afternoon we walked from Crall´s to Nancy´s house to hang out and listen to records. Nancy was Donny´s girlfriend to no one´s surprise were married after high school.
I lost touch with Don after high school but in the early 90´s I found out he had moved back to the area and was living in Huron. I would see him occasionally at Heidi´s Christmas parties. The last time we saw each other was at our local pub circa `18. As always it was great to see him.
In closing I want to extend my deepest heartfelt sympathies to Donny´s siblings and to his entire family.
Rest in peace my old friend.

Don was a dear friend from our days together at the University of Montana. He brought his wife, Nancy, to live with him in Montana, and she became my best friend! We had so many great times, and Don was always craziest of us all. He was the life of the party, and always had the biggest smile. He was a wild man in the best of ways! He was a person who loved deeply and never forgot a friendship. He called me a couple months ago, and we talked for hours like we hadn´t been separated for 35 years. Rest in peace, Don, and I know Pat and Jim were for the first two who met you at the pearly gates!

Don was my first love, father of my children and grandfather to our five grandchildren. He was a true warrior, never giving up the fight after his many health challenges. The pain of losing someone you love is the same for everyone regardless of where life takes you. I will miss him, but always treasure the wonderful wild memories we shared . I know you will be looking down and sharing in our lives from above! RIP
