Douglas R. Marshall, 88, of Sandusky, died Saturday, June 21, 2025, at The Willows at Bellevue following a brief illness. His ignition was turned OFF for the last time at 1:52 p.m. as Doug loved and enjoyed his classic cars.
He was born March 25, 1937, in Coeburn, Virginia, and was a 41-year employee of Ford Motor Co., retiring in 2005.
Doug is survived by his daughter, Karen (Daniel) Minor; two sons, Rodney (Rhonda) Marshall and Gregory (Sherri) Marshall; five grandchildren, Cory, Brett, and Todd Minor, Ryan (Mellissa) Marshall, and Amanda Marshall; two great-grandchildren, Brantley and Oliver Marshall; two stepgrandchildren, Vinnie and Jacob Holeton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxie Marshall, in 2022; mother, Jean Edwards; brother, Gary Marshall; two sisters, Margaret "Sally" Church and Delphia Lopez.
Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where services will be at 11 a.m. with Pastor Cora Freeh officiating. Burial will be at Castalia Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Stein Hospice Care Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870, or The Willows at Bellevue, 101 Auxiliary Drive, Bellevue, OH 44811.
