Edward B. Bahnsen, 85, of Marblehead, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025. He was born September 14, 1939, in Fremont, the son of Clarence "Bum" and Myrtle (Kilhlken) Bahnsen.
He served in the United States Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Ed married Janet Kosa on October 3, 1964. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 2001 after 38 years.
Surviving are his wife, Janet; son, Jeff (Rachel) Bahnsen of Marblehead; daughter, Pam Hallier of Marblehead; grandchildren, Lauren (Andrew) McMurray, Heather (Chad) Brunk, and Brandon Bahnsen; great-grandchildren, Brilynne Sloan, Bradley Sloan, Kinslee McMurray, Kaisley McMurray, Kendall McMurray, Cora Brunk, Briar Brunk, and Emma Ammerman; sisters, Marcia Dunham of Huron and Cyndi Yingling of Wolverine, Michigan; brother-in-law, John "Butch" (Valerie) Kosa of Marblehead; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ed loved hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and listening to Cleveland Guardian games. He enjoyed watching his grandkids and great-grandkids' sporting events. He coached little league baseball and junior high football for years.
Private memorial services will Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Marblehead. Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, is handling arrangements.
Donations may be given to Danbury Athletic Department.
