Edward Earl Parriot
Mar 2, 1947 - Apr 21, 2025
Port Clinton
Edward Earl Parriott, lovingly known as Ed and known to friends as Eddie, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, Monday, April 21, 2025, at the age of 78. Born March 2, 1947, in Laurel, Mississippi, Ed was the son of Wiley Parriott and Burnesteen Conner (McDonald).
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Ed spent his life centered around family, hard work, and simple joys. He dedicated 37 years of his life to Chrysler Plastics in Sandusky, where he was respected for his strong work ethic and quiet dedication.
On August 31, 1974, Ed married the love of his life, Lula (Jackson), beginning a beautiful partnership that spanned more than 50 years. Together, they raised a loving family and created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and shared traditions.
Ed found joy in the little things-he was a fan of old Westerns and sci-fi movies, and he never turned down a good home-cooked meal. Holidays and family get-togethers were his favorite times, always surrounded by kids, grandkids, and the delicious smells of food made with love. He especially cherished family vacations, where stories were shared and memories made.
He was perhaps best known among family and friends for his unshakable belief in his "winning numbers system" for the lottery-a symbol of his eternal optimism and hope.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Lula; his children, Aaron (Nichole) Parriott, Christopher (Lauren) Parriott, and Nikita Parriott; seven grandchildren; brothers, Verger (Barbara) Parriott of San Antonia, Texas, and Henry Parriott of Lena, Mississippi; sisters, Bonnie Conner of Ellisville, Mississippi, and Martha Gregory of Alexandria, Virginia, who brought endless joy to his life.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Burnesteen Conner; sisters, Shirley Mims and Mary Conner; son, Tony A. Jones; and nephews, Cory Conner and Roger Mims.
Family and friends are invited to visit from 10-12 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Grace United Church, 205 W. Fourth Street, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452. Funeral ceremony for Ed will begin at 12 p.m. following visiting hours. Interment will be at Christy Chapel Cemetery following services.
