Elizabeth Geib Obituary

Elizabeth (Bets) Jean Daniels Geib

Sep 27, 1946 - Feb 14, 2025

Munroe Falls

Elizabeth (Bets) Jean Daniels Geib, 78, of Munroe Falls, passed away peacefully at home Friday, February 14, 2025, with family.

Bets was born September 27, 1946, in Norwalk to the late William "Bill" and Jean Daniels. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Daniels. She is survived by her loving husband, Ron Geib; her son, Shawn Duden, and his spouse, Katrina Manalili; stepdaughters, Kim Geib, Patty Geib, and Laura Geib; stepsons, Jeff Geib and Aaron Geib, as well as grandchildren, Johnathan Geib, Taylor Lynne, and Brayden Brooks.

A woman of many talents and passions, Bets lived life on her own terms. In her early years, she owned a beauty salon before transitioning to a career in drafting for the telecom industry. She dedicated 30 years to Alltel Corporation, retiring as a senior circuit design engineer.

Outside of work, Bets was an avid gardener who took pride in creating beautiful spaces, a skilled home decorator with an eye for detail, and a devoted animal lover - especially when it came to cats. She had a special place in her heart for stray cats and made it her mission to rescue, care for, and re-home many neighborhood felines.

Bets was known for her sharp wit, unfiltered honesty, and impatience with life's little inconveniences. She had a fiery spirit that was best summed up in the words she often shouted at slow-moving vehicles at traffic lights: "What freaking shade of green do you need?!" A sentiment that perfectly captured her no-nonsense approach to the world.

Per her wishes, no formal service will take place. Bets will be cremated and laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

In her memory, the family encourages acts of kindness toward animals, particularly through rescue efforts, as a tribute to the compassion she showed to every stray that crossed her path.

Bets lived with love, humor, and determination, making her world a little brighter and more colorful. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. REDMON FUNERAL HOME, STOW, 330-688-6631.

Hello Shawn, So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Don't know if you remember me. My mom use to babysit you years ago, Marilyn Hansen. You were my alarm clock. I worked nights and mom would put you in the bedroom next to mine. You would get me up every morning to take you downstairs. We thought of you quite often. Mom and enjoyed having you around. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during sorrowful time. Kurt Hansen
