Eric David Simpson of Baytown, Texas passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024.
He was born March 20, 1980, in Sandusky.
Eric's contagious smile and easy-going personality made him friends with everyone he met. A devoted husband and loving father, he was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. He loved fishing, exploring nature, and spending time with his family. His knack for taking things apart and rebuilding them led to his over 20 years years as a diesel mechanic.
Eric is survived by his wife, Heather; sons, Eric Jr. and Dylan; daughter, Arabella; stepdaughter, Samantha; mother, Dorinda Trautman; father, Craig Simpson; sister, Lydia Trautman; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by mother-in-law, Mary Johnston; maternal grandparents, Lydia R. and Vincent Trautman; paternal grandparents, Nancy and Donald Simpson, and beloved cat, Tae.
Eric's memorial will be private at High Island Beach, Texas at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, condolences can be made to his wife, Heather Simpson, 106 Foster St. TRL C Baytown, Texas.
Eric will be forever cherished and deeply missed by all who knew him.
