Evalyn L. Vroman, 94, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Saturday morning, Dec. 14, 2024, at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Evalyn was born May 26, 1930, in Elyria to the late John S. and Hazel E. (Martin) Leach.
Evalyn was a talented seamstress for many years. Evalyn was an active member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Sandusky. In her spare time, she loved reading books, sewing, and baking, especially for the church, and spending time with her family.
Evalyn is survived by her daughter, Susan (Robert) Wittmer of Sandusky; son, John (Christina) Vroman of Sandusky; two grandchildren, John Michael Vroman and Amy Wittmer; and numerous stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren, Rita Wittmer and Aurora Burns; brother, Gayle Leach of Tiro; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Evalyn is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur V. Vroman in 2001; daughter, Judith Conrad; grandson, Stephan Cobb; sister, Verta; and sister-in-law, Joni Leach.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024, at Meadow Green Funeral Home & Cemetery, 2602 Bogart Road Huron, with the Reverend Lenore Kure. Entombment will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Evalyn, was my mother's very good friend, my mom and she lived next door to each other for many years. I met her through my mom, the I moved to the same Apt building, and was a friend of her, for the last 12 years. She will be missed greatly. Was a very special lady.
