Freddie Hope (Poore) Elmer, 89, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Wednesday morning, June 25, 2025, at Providence Care Center.

Freddie was born on November 28, 1935, in Bristol, Tennessee, to the late Fred and Clemmie (Pyle) Poore.

Freddie was employed as a bartender at Sandusky Eagles for over 30 years. She was a member of Red Hat Society and Sandusky Eagles. In her spare time, she enjoyed arts and crafts.

Freddie is survived by her children, Joetta Hope (Greg) Erney, Bart Neal, Lydia Neal, and Shane Neal; grandchildren, Dawn, Jessica, Rachel, Tina, and Kendra; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Freddie is preceded in death by her husband, James D. Elmer; grandson, Christopher Robin Young; granddaughter, Jennifer Neal; and her three sisters.

A private memorial gathering will take place and burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Sandusky. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting family with arrangements.
