Gary Setzler Obituary

Gary Ray Setzler

Aug 26, 1952 - May 9, 2024

Mount Gilead

Gary Ray Setzler, 71, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024.

He was born August 26, 1952, in Huron County, to Robert Russell and Evelyn Delores. He worked for Whetstone in Mount Gilead in the Senior Center.

Gary was a simple, laid-back kind of guy. He loved to color in his own special way, shading and ensuring that his crayons were always sharp. His one and only love was coffee and his favorite snacks were Nutter Butters and Pringles. He also enjoyed getting to go out and get pizza, Bob Evans, and Cracker Barrel.

Gary is survived by his sister, Bobbie (Charles) Hummel; brother, Mike (Gloria) Setzler; sister-in-law, Elaine Setzler; care team and friends at Bennington Glen; friends and teammates at Whetstone; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Evelyn; and three brothers, Lawrence, Larry, and Bob Setzler.

Private burial will be at a later date at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde. A celebration of life will also be at a later date.
