Gloria (Ries) Sarrica, 99, of Sandusky, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026.

She was born December 15, 1926, in Clyde, to Ferdinand and Norma (Lieb) Ries.

She married Anthony "Tony" Sarrica Jr., January 25, 1947. Gloria devoted her life to her family as a full-time mother and later worked as a housekeeper and in-home caregiver. She was known for selling homemade bread and for her exceptional baking, especially her lemon meringue pies and cookies.

She enjoyed sewing, hiking, bowling, and playing cards. An avid bowler, she was so good her husband refused to bowl with her because she always won. She loved riding her bike with her beloved poodle, Frenchie, in the basket. After her husband's passing, she shared many years with her companion, Howard French, whom she cared for until his passing.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Sandusky, Eagles Auxiliary, Eagles Grandmothers Club, and Red Hat Society. She was lovingly known as "Grandma Popsi."

She is survived by her children, Carolyn Zieber, Donald Sarrica (Patricia), and Dian Fultz (Dan); 11 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Sarrica Jr.; children, Michael "Mickey" Sarrica and Norma Lapata; grandchildren, Gloria (Sarrica) Milne and Sean Sarrica; companion, Howard French; and her siblings.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church, 503 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, with the Rev. Mike Conklin presiding. Burial will take place at a later date at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
