Gregory J. Schoewe, 69, residing in Sandusky, passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 29, 2025, in his home.
Greg was born April 22, 1956, in Sandusky, to the late Russell W. Schoewe and Ramona J. (Nolder) Schoewe-Kawell.
Greg attended Sandusky High School. He worked as a truck driver for many years. Gregory was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and VFW Post 2529. Greg enjoyed music, fishing, and rooting for the Cleveland Browns.
Greg is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy (Brown) Schoewe, whom he married August 1, 1974. He is also survived by his children, Rebecca "Becky" Fox and Russell P. Schoewe; brother, Mark (Juanita) Schoewe; granddaughter, Allyson (Zach) Kelbley; great-grandchildren, Laine and Eloise Jo Kelbley; and nieces and a nephew.
In addition to his parents, Greg is preceded in death by his stepfather, Richard Kawell; brother, Dennis Schoewe; grandson, Rayce Allan Fox; son-in-law, Scott Allan Fox; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2025, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky.
