H. Ann (Hamilton) Gast

Harriet Ann (Hamilton) Gast, 84, residing in Huron, passed away Thursday evening, Nov. 3, 2022, at Firelands Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

Ann was born May 24, 1938, in Sandusky, to the late Harry and Hazel (Pratt) Hamilton.

Ann graduated from Huron High School. She was a waitress at the former Stone House for 33 years. Ann enjoyed music and taught at Lombardy Music for many years, teaching Big Band era music. She also enjoyed cooking, traveling, her cats, and spending time with her family and friends.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Gast of Minnesota; sons, Alan (Dawn) Gast of Sandusky and Ron (Mary) Gast of Illinois; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie A. Gast in 2014; brother, Keith Hamilton; and niece, Julie Hamilton.

Private family graveside services will be at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Pastor Wally Gilbert will officiate. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting family with arrangements.
