Helen Armstrong Obituary

Helen Lorene Armstrong

Aug 2, 1941 - Nov 2, 2025

Milan

Helen Lorene (Stark) Armstrong, 84, of Milan, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center after a brief illness.

She was born August 2, 1941, in Oberlin, Ohio, to Royal and Helen (Tudor) Stark.

Lorene graduated from Black River High School and then from Ashland College with her bachelor's degree. She was employed as a second-grade teacher at Perkins Local Schools for 35 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed painting, crocheting, calligraphy, gardening, flowers, being outdoors, and cooking for her family (her meals are often talked about). Her greatest joy was her family, and she loved spending time with and caring for them.

Helen is survived by her husband, Jerry, whom she married November 26, 1960; sons, Timothy Robert (Beth) Armstrong of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and Scott Alan (Arlyn) Armstrong of Maumee; grandchildren, Ryan, Eric, Tylor, Megan, and Mary "Grace"; great-grandchildren, Levi and Finley; sister, Beth (Ted) Daniels of Jensen Beach, Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn and brother, Royal Jr.

Cremation will take place and a private burial will be at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.

Donations can be made in Lorene's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
