Jack Lee Newman, 68, of Sandusky, passed away Saturday September 2nd 2023 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

Jack was born July 16th, 1955 in Portsmouth Ohio to Leo and Mary Newman.

Jack attended Sandusky High School. He was employed by the Cafaro Group at the Sandusky Mall for over 30 years as the Maintenance Supervisor before his retirement in 2020. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing music. Jack was a member of many local bands including "The Poor Boys Band" from the 90's and most recently "Country Express" and "Southern Style" just before his passing. He could play many instruments but his favorite was his bass guitar. He also enjoyed hopping on his CB radio with his handle "Jack Rabbit" or "Copperhead."

Jack loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He held a special place in his heart for many animals over the years but most recently his beagle Fritz and his cat Twix.

Jack is survived by his children; daughter Stephanie Stauder, daughter Sandra Newman, daughter Samantha (Chris) Chapman, son Jack Newman, daughter Jasmine Newman, son Michael Newman as well as many grandchildren and other relatives. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his sister Edna Crane.

At Jack's request there will be no services held at this time. He was a simple man. The family asks you to remember him with all of the great memories you shared together.
