James "Jim" McKenna

James (Jim) McKenna, 56, went home to be with the Lord Monday, Nov. 11, 2024. He had congestive heart failure and was under hospice care for his last few months, dying peacefully at the home of his sister, Mary.

Jim was born in Sandusky Nov.13, 1967, to James and Berneice (Karr) McKenna. He attended Holy Angels and graduated from St. Marys High School in 1986. He then graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1990 with a business degree.

Jim had a pleasant personality, developing many friends throughout the years. He played basketball and tennis, enjoyed many sports, played guitar, traveled, attended concerts, and got together with friends. He moved to Colorado about 18 years ago and was employed as a sales rep for Terpco Co. since 2007.

Jim is survived by his wife, Erin Akana; sister, Mary Trujillo, both of Colorado; brothers, Chuck (Peggy) of Norwalk and Joe PCB. Florida.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bob and Paul; sister, Ann; brother-in-law, Joey Trujillo; and sister-in-law, Sandy Pearson.

At Jim's request, no funeral services will take place. A celebration of life honoring Jim will be from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024, at Cameo Pizza, 702 W. Monroe St., Sandusky. Please celebrate Jim's life with us.
