JaMil Jones Obituary

Master JaMil Ty’Trell Jones, affectionately known as “Bug”, received his wings Wednesday, October 30, 2024.  JaMil was born on November 20, 2019, in Richmond, VA.  He was the youngest of four children born to Orin and Jantyle Jones.

JaMil was preceded in death by his father, Orin Terrell Jones; grandfather, Gary M. Jefferson and Herman Jones; grandmother, Almetra Jones; cousins, Johnathan King and Zackery Pasker.

JaMil loved everything about learning.  He loved playing his favorite games on PlayStation. JaMil loved spending time with his Irish Twin, JaMir and his nephew, Oziahs.

JaMil in his four short years here with us he has brought so much love and laughter into our lives, and he will forever be missed.

JaMil leaves to cherish his memory: his loving, dedicated and heartbroken mother, Jantyle Jefferson-Jones; five brothers, Brandon Carter of High Point, NC, JaMontay Jefferson of the home, Tyvell Pierce of Prince George, VA, JaMoree Jefferson and Jamir Jones ; one sister from God, Tacoria Dabney; two nephews, Oziahs Jefferson and Tylan Amari Pierce; one grandmother, Rosa Jefferson; two aunts, Doris Cutler (Melton) and Valerie Winfield of Petersburg, VA; three uncles, Harry Winfield (Christina) of Chesterfield, Eric Johnson of Hopewell and Herman Jones of Hopewell, VA;  twenty-one cousins; and a host of extended family and friends, among them devoted Clateria Jones, Tyler Thigpen and Armon Wright.

Services will be held 3:00 P.M., Thursday, November 7, 2024 in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Natasha Randel, eulogist.  The interment to follow at Mt. Sinai Memorial Park. 

Viewing for Master Jones will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at the funeral establishment.
