Janet (Knoll) Bush
Sep 6, 1933 - Mar 6, 2024
formerly of Bellevue & Norwalk
Janet Lou Bush (Knoll) 90, of Hilliard, passed away peacefully in the early morning Wednesday, March 6, 2024, after a brief illness.
She was born Sept. 6, 1933, in Norwalk as Janet Lou Hendrickson, the daughter of Charles and Adah Hendrickson in a small house on Woodlawn Avenue. Janet has one sister, Sandra Jean Hendrickson (Hintz), from Ithaca, New York. Janet graduated from Norwalk High School in 1951. She married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Knoll, on Dec. 21, 1952, in Berlin Heights.
Janet lost her love of her life after only 13 years of marriage and five children later at 32 young years of age. Janet was thrust into being a mother to five young children on her own, ages 12 through one-year-old. We are at peace knowing she is with our father, her soul mate, and our heavenly father, and this joy fills our hearts with such comfort. After 17 years of being a widow, Janet married Everett Bush after meeting him at a dance. They enjoyed 25 years together.
Janet was such a kind, amazingly patient woman with so much love to give even after losing two husbands in her 90 years of life. Janet loved to dance, sketch, draw, paint, and always whistled while she was even doing housework. She was funny, flirtatious, and she could take a nap at a 15-second interval at the drop of a hat even while eating. She also enjoyed red hat society.
She is survived by five sons, Tim (Gaylene), Knoll, Mark (Jan) Knoll, Ron (Cindy) Knoll, Brian Knoll; daughter, Cindy Lou Evans (Michael), who Janet has lived with for the past five years; three stepsons, Dan (Wanda) Bush, Dale (Beth) Bush, and Gene (Cheryl) Bush; stepdaughter, Janie Shade; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren within her immediate family, Derek, Rick, Heather, Timothy, Ryan, Tommy, Alison, Jonathan, Travis, Lyndsey, Shannon, Tyler, and Dante that she adored; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren that she remembered with her loving cards and gifts.
She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Everett Bush in 2009.
Visitation for friends will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2024, at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. Janet's funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk.
