Jeffrey N. "Jeff" Wassermann, 59, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, June 12, 2022, at his home after a brief battle with cancer.
Jeff was born March 16, 1963, in Sandusky, the son of Malte Karl-Heinz and Christel Josine (Sonnichsen) Wassermann. Jeff attended Sandusky High School. For several years, he had worked for local construction businesses painting and roofing. He will be remembered by his family for one that loved his animals, boating, socializing with others, and how he loved listening to his music and watching movies.
Jeff is survived by his son, Corey (Rachel) Ryan of Sandusky; two grandchildren, Jaymie and Colton; two brothers, Roy and Eric (Martha) Wassermann; two sisters, Tammy (Kevin) Brown and Martina Wassermann; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Rikolt, Michael, and Stuart Wassermann; and several nieces and nephews.
It was his wish to be cremated.
The family will receive friends 3-6 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022, at David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Erie County Humane Society, 1911 Superior Street, Sandusky, Ohio, 44870.
