Jimmie Earl Philon, 78, passed away surrounded by his loving family Monday, February 24, 2025, at Ohio Veterans Home. Jimmie was born February 14,1947, in Silas, Alabama.

Jimmie became a resident of Sandusky, in 1970 after receiving an honorable discharge from the United States Army. He was formerly employed at Ford Motor Company and retired from Sandusky Metal after 25 years of service.

Jimmie enjoyed spending time at Kamans and Four Points, socializing with friends, going fishing, and sitting under the shade tree.

Jimmie is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Janice Philon; his two daughters, Katina Philon, and MecShell (Richard) Fleming; his son, Desmond (Charlene) Philon Sr.; 10 grandchildren, Darious Jeter, De'Ondra Fisher, Jason Walls Jr., Jay'Ziona Walls, Corrin Stacey, Coree Stacey, Destine Philon, Desyir Philon, Desmond Philon Jr., and Corissa Philon; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bernice Tart, and Minnie Pearl Morgan; and a brother, Woody Philon; two special nieces, Sinda Johnson, and Lora Philon; a special friend, Wayne Lemons; and other loving relatives and friends.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Hewy and Clarice Philon; brothers, Henry Philon, Hewy Philon Jr., J.W. Philon, W.C. Philon, Wallace Philon, and Willie Philon Sr.; his sisters, Annice Johnson and Lennie Lewis; and great-granddaughter, Karalyne Jeter.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 1814 Milan Rd., Sandusky OH 44870.
