Joan Marie (Clark) Lasky, 88, passed away peacefully in Columbiana, Ohio, November 8, 2025.

She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, March 15, 1937. She graduated from Euclid High School and later received a bachelor of arts degree from Bowling Green State University.

Joan was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She loved to read. She also wrote and illustrated beautiful poetry books. She was an accomplished artist who shared her art with family to display in their homes. Her work included many beautiful crocheted afghans for each member of the family, poetry books, drawings, copper enamel and ceramics.

Joan and her loving husband, of 62 years, enjoyed spending family vacation time in Minnesota each summer, boating, camping and fishing at Cut Foot Sioux Lodge near Deer River, Minnesota, along with winter breaks in Vero Beach, Florida. She also delighted in watching the many songbirds and waterfowl that frequented the Mud Brook estuary behind their home in Huron, where they lived for close to 48 years.

She was also an active member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Huron.

She is survived by her sons, Wm. Scott Lasky and Charles Lasky (Debbie); daughter, Carolyn Williams (Todd); grandchildren, Jeremy Lasky (Joni), Brianne Lasky, Braden Lasky, Heather McDaniel (Tyler), Katie Buxman (Kyle), Alyssa Malenic (Marty), Alex Muscarella (Soudara), Andrew Muscarella, Joey Muscarella; and great grandchildren Caleb, Elyse, and Declan Buxman, Alden McDaniel and Luka Malenic.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl E. Lasky; parents, Paul and Helen Clark; stepmother, Loretta Clark; and her sister, Nancy Schween.

There will be a private family service at Cunningham Becker Funeral Home in Poland, Ohio. She will then be interned at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio.
